Attack of the Killer Podcast 151: Stuart Gordon

H.P. Lovecraft's writings are notoriously difficult to adapt to film, but Stuart Gordon makes it look effortless. Many purists complain about the liberties he takes with the material, but it's knowing precisely which liberties to take to make a perfect adaptation time after time that shows what a deep understanding Gordon has of exactly what makes Lovecraft work both on the page and on the screen. And then there's that movie with the giant robot that has a chainsaw schlong. The crew examine the works of Stuart Gordon on this episode of Attack of the Killer Podcast!

  1. Hey, thanks for the very kind words about "The Fiasco Brothers Watch a Movie"! I'm glad that movie obsessives like it, since they're the ones most likely to shred it for inaccuracy or being boring.

The current ep is THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES, but the one with the bass-heavy tones of Mr. Bryan Clark should drop around March 13.
